Lets talk about photo retouching/editing for weddings. While I certainly spend quite a bit of time in front of my computer to get the right tones and choose the right colors that convey a better story of the day,it’s not always the case.  The image bellow is out of the camera and there was nothing done to this image. I think a misconception among the mass that a bad photo can be retouched to look good. While it is possible, photo retouching of an image that was not taken correctly can take you 2-5 hours. Wedding photographers can’t spend this much time per each image as they have to go through 500-800 images. Getting it right in the camera is the absolutely the best way to avoid spending a lot of time in front of a computer.  This image has 4 light sources: Window,fill flash,lamp and wall. A good photographer will be able to use all the available light to compose an image.  Now, if i want to retouch this in any way, it will be much easier. No matter what I will do to it, this image will still look great.
