Due to a number of requests, I am posting an engagement session I photographed in Cayo Coco, Cuba. Some images were taken at Melia Jardines Del Rey resort in Cayo Coco, while others were taken around the city of Morón – with some beautiful old buildings and people.
I photographed a lot of destination weddings in Cuba over the years and all of them were in Varadero or Havana. Although I’ve been to the island of Cayo Coco before, it was my first time here as a photographer. Food and service at the resorts tends to be quite a bit better than in Varadero. The island is not as commercialized as Varadero peninsula and some resorts are pretty secluded; you can walk along the beach for a mile or so, without seeing other tourists.

2015 is almost full and I am already booking 2016. If you are in love and need awesome photographs to capture that, please get in touch!

It is always cool to see the old cars they have in Cuba and this town also uses horse carriages as taxis for locals.

It briefly rained, but as it was hot outside, the grounds dried up pretty fast. I am always happy to photograph during the rain as well and over the years I’ve captured many local and destination weddings and engagement sessions during the rain.

A few photographs at a railway station. We attempted to sneak in and take some photographs with the trains, but the entrance to them was closed, with a lot of “security”.

A few photographs around apartment buildings

The first image shows two men sitting near the store and the ladies inside who did not know why I was taking pictures. The 2nd image shows them laughing as one of the men told them what I am taking pictures off. As you can see they are surprised and laughing. Their emotion is priceless!!

The family to the right of the image own this lovely car. We did not know that and thankfully they were kind enough to let us take a few photographs and didn’t seem puzzled by us doing it.

As I was taking photographs of the couple, I noticed a kid in a mask standing there so I captured him as well. I think it makes the photo a bit more real and unique

🙂 Again, another image of real Cuba. It’s funny, unique and makes me smile every time I look at it.

Another photo of the station and all the people waiting for either their train or some other transportation.

A photo on the beach

A few photographs on the beach and on the grounds of Melia Jardines Del Rey resort. It was just built and some parts of it are still under construction.
